The quick answer
Mac screenshot keys only grab what is on the screen. They do not save a whole chat, page, or long list.
A web browser may save a full web page. For other Mac apps, use a scrolling screenshot app.
Pick the best way
| Way | Good for | The catch |
|---|---|---|
| Your web browser | A normal web page | It may not work inside other apps |
| Many screenshots | A short page | You must join or share each image |
| A scrolling screenshot app | Chats, docs, code, and apps | It needs screen access on your Mac |

PNG or GIF?
Use a long PNG when people need to read the page. Use a GIF when they need to see what moved.
